Sinus Pain & Allergy Relief
Sinus Pain & Allergy Relief
We have the capability to compound custom sinus medications to treat many sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS), and post nasal drip.
Our team here at Community Compounding Pharmacy specializes in formulating and compounding select medications into dry capsules. These capsules are easily opened and emptied into an irrigation device with distilled water for sinus rinsing. Each capsule contains medicine for a single rinse.
Benefits from this procedure include deep sinus exposure to the medication, improved mucociliary clearance, and avoidance of gut exposure to antibiotics (which may lead to complications such as dysbiosis, i.e. gut microbiome imbalance, altered metabolism, or development of antibiotic resistant organisms in the gut). This dry capsule approach is also beneficial for extending the shelf-life of the medication, which is convenient for patients who may need short courses of treatment from time to time.
Our sinus rinse capsules are made with ingredients that are effective yet gentle on sensitive sinus mucosa. They include antimicrobial, antifungal and biofilm degrading ingredients.
At Community Compounding Pharmacy, we also prepare sinus and allergy medications in the form of nasal sprays. Commonly used medications include antibiotics, antifungals, antihistamines, corticosteroids, and mucolytics. We also may include natural products such as xylitol, and beta-glucan. As always, each medicine can be custom formulated and the dosage form tailored for you and your needs.
If you are experiencing sinus pain or allergies, speak with your healthcare provider to see if a compounded sinus formula may be right for you.
